I squinted as I opened the curtains and the light bathed the room in a golden glow. It was strange how dark the room was. I never noticed because he would always keep my mind on other things. He did a good job, cause frankly I never really cared. But without him, I say otherwise. The house just seemed lonely without him.

Prologue-=(Prologue)=- A wave of nostalgia rushed over me as I walked through the door. The sight of the room unkempt; it was still the same as I saw it last. There was a dingy odor from the ancient texts strewn all around and yet amongst it the smell of the rolling sea and a strange fragrance of flowers. What hit me the hardest though was the sound, the dreadful sound of silence. It left a haunting chill in the air and the echoes of my footsteps. But for a brief moment I could hear the sound of his warm voice, welcoming me back. My eyes grew watery and as I wiped away the tears, I found it in myself to smile.
